Requirements
- Successful completion of the Bachelor module in Production and Operations Management (or equivalent university lecture)
- Basic command of Operations Research methodology
Lecture goals
To gain an overview of the scope of production planning and control (PPC) systems; to learn the major building blocks of PPC systems and to reveal their limitations and ineffectiveness; to understand the concept of advanced planning and scheduling (APS) systems and the underlying quantitative methodology; to be able to assess the applicability of APS systems in different types of industries.

Examination
- Written examination (Prüfungsäquivalente Studienleistung, Wi-Ing) or regular examination for other study programs
- Unless otherwise announced, written examinations are held at the end of the lecture semester and at the beginning of the subsequent semester with the best of the two examination results finally credited
